Brain Gym® 101 Course

Brain Gym® 101 is the core course of the Educational Kinesiology Foundation / Brain Gym® International. This course is designed for adults; participants experience the Brain Gym® process and learn to facilitate it in themselves and others.

What will I learn?
Through observation, experience, and printed materials, Brain Gym® 101 students learn and are able to:

  • Teach and do 25 Brain Gym® exercise.
  • Apply 11 pre-made Brain Gym® 5-Step Balances.
  • Create their own Brain Gym® 5-Step Balances using a highly successful template.
  • Become proficient in setting effective goals.
  • Use noticing skills in the context of Brain Gym® Balances.
  • Explain basic knowledge of the history of Brain Gym® and the Educational Kinesiology Foundation / Brain Gym® International.
  • Practice a program used world-wide by people in all walks of life to help people of all ages.

  • Brain Gym® Handbook: The Student Guide to Brain Gym® by Paul E. Dennison, Ph.D. and Gail E. Dennison.

  • A binder with numerous handouts to support the ease in learning and applying the knowledge.

Is Brain Gym® research-based?
Yes, extensive research has been done on Brain Gym®. Go to www.braingym.org to click on and download the free, latest research packet.

Are there professional credits available?
Yes, for a fee payable to Seattle University, you may receive 2 credit hours or 24 clock hours.

Are there any prerequisites?
Yes, the prospective Brain Gym® 101 student is recommended to have at least one Brain Gym® Balance from a Brain Gym® 101 graduate. You are also recommended to read Smart Moves by Carla Hannaford. Both will give you a deeper level of understanding of the course. The Brain Gym® 101 student must be high-school age or older.
